FLOW

An exhibition of  painting and sculpture by Hackney artist
Nils Edelman
searching for a flow to peaceful enlightenment

Flow through sprials and circles in paintings, connect the spirit. Circles are two dimensional representations of celestial spheres.

Spheres the fundamental form of the cosmos to which all matter gravitates. Travel to the center of the circle in Spiral paintings.

The center symbolises the singularity at the heart of creation, through which vast amounts of matter flow into the unknowable realm beyond the event horizon.

The paintings aim to overcome the forces of constant distraction, the chaos at the periphery that we have to still in order to find peace and focus.

The sculptures symbolise lava, that has a liquid moment of hot life, then  is transfixed for millennia.

This exhibition has been on the on the drawing board for a long time, but the spiral of life sped up and pushed it further away.
